Job Description Job Description Description: Deerfield Corporate Services is seeking an experienced Staff Accountant to join our Finance team. This exempt, full-time role reports directly to the Controller and plays a key role in maintaining the financial integrity and compliance of our organization. The Staff Accountant is responsible for month-end close activities, general ledger reconciliations, accounts receivable and revenue maintenance, audit support, and a variety of core accounting functions. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with senior leadership. Requirements: Key Responsibilities Perform month-end close activities and general ledger reconciliations Prepare and analyze asset, liability, and capital account entries Maintain revenue and accounts receivable systems Prepare balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and financial reports Conduct bank and credit card reconciliations Support annual audits and ensure compliance with GAAP and statutory accounting principles Maintain accounting controls, policies, and procedures Prepare payments and verify supporting documentation Research accounting regulations and answer procedural questions Maintain strict confidentiality of all financial and company information Perform other accounting duties as assigned by senior management Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business with an Accounting emphasis (or equivalent experience) Minimum 5 years of accounting experience Strong knowledge of GAAP and statutory accounting principles Experience with QuickBooks or an ERP system Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (filtering, VLOOKUPs, formulas) Experience with intercompany transactions Strong reconciliation and analytical skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team
