Technician to help implement and maintain our advanced security
systems, while providing exceptional service to our clients.
Position Overview: As a Lead Security Technician , you will take
the lead on complex installations and oversee the technical aspects
of projects. You'll be responsible for coordinating and guiding
other technicians, ensuring that all security systems are installed
and serviced to the highest standards. Your role will involve
hands-on installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of security
systems, as well as providing guidance and training to junior
technicians. You will also play a key role in client communication
and ensuring all installations are completed on time, within
budget, and in compliance with safety standards. Key
Responsibilities: Install Security Systems: Install and configure a
range of security solutions, including video surveillance, access
control, and alarm systems. Troubleshoot & Repair: Diagnose and
resolve issues with existing systems, ensuring minimal downtime for
clients. Customer Support & Education: Provide clients with system
training and support, helping them understand how to use their
security systems effectively. System Maintenance: Perform routine
system checks, updates, and upgrades to ensure optimal performance
and reliability. Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols,
building codes, and industry standards during all installations.
Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all
installations, service calls, and system configurations.
Qualifications: Experience: At least 2 years of experience in
security system installations, including Brivo , Lenel , Genetec ,
Avigilon, Axis , etc. Experience should include video surveillance,
access control, alarm systems, and basic networking knowledge.
Technical Skills: Strong understanding of card access, alarm
systems and networking, with the ability to configure and
troubleshoot security systems. Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose
and resolve issues with security systems quickly and effectively.
Customer Service: Strong communication skills with a focus on
providing excellent customer service. Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 lbs and work in
various settings, including attics, rooftops, and tight spaces.
Licenses & Certifications: A valid driver's license and clean
driving record as well as regular access to a vehicle to commute to
NYC, NJ, Long Island, etc. Flexible Working Schedules : ability and
willingness to work evenings, weekends and second shifts as needed
Required Safety Certifications: OSHA 10 or 30 Certification:
Knowledge of OSHA safety standards, with at least an OSHA 10
certification (OSHA 30 preferred). SST Card (Site Safety Training):
New York City-specific Site Safety Training (SST) card is required
for compliance with local construction site regulations. Preferred
Qualifications: Certifications: NICET, SIA, or other
industry/vendor specific certifications are a plus. Advanced
Experience: Familiarity with advanced security technologies,
cloud-based systems, or enterprise-level solutions. Knowledge of
NYC Building Codes: Understanding of local building codes and
safety regulations related to security installations is a plus.
