An experienced Registered Nurse with a strong background in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) nursing is sought for a contract position in Lehigh Acres, FL. This role focuses on providing high-quality care to adult and geriatric patients in a step-down setting, ensuring safe and effective monitoring and interventions. The position involves floating within the PCU and to sister campuses, emphasizing flexibility and teamwork. Qualifications and Desired Experience: Minimum of 2 years of PCU nursing experience (Emergency Department experience not required) Current FL or Compact nursing license with recent verification on profile BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required Degree accreditation must be included on profile or equivalent of 5 years experience Familiarity with Epic EMR system preferred Ability to work within a patient-to-nurse ratio of 4-6:1 depending on patient acuity Willingness to float to sister campuses within a 50-mile radius Strong communication, adaptability, and cultural alignment with the facilitys values Responsibilities: Deliver patient-centered care to adult and geriatric populations in a step-down unit Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and respond to changes in patient condition promptly Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive care planning Maintain accurate documentation using the Epic electronic medical record system Adhere to safety protocols and regulatory standards Participate fully as core staff, including floating duties as required Location:Lehigh Acres, Florida, offers a welcoming community with access to natural parks, recreational facilities, and a warm climate year-round.
