Job Description:
Duties: Work cross-functionally on programs developing new
products, and supporting legacy instrumentation in cost reduction,
product design changes due to regulatory and environmental standard
revisions, and customer driven product enhancements. Provide design
and post-design support for new and existing in-vitro blood and
urine diagnostic instruments. Serve as an SME in relevant product
development projects. Work with the R&D team to develop new and
innovative products and use electrical CAD to design PCBs and PCAs
that are used worldwide. Work with application associates to come
up with new features and requirements for products and implement
new designs and design corrections from Concept to Manufacturing.
Support existing products in the field through Technical
Support/Field Service and Manufacturing. Maintain existing products
as required to meet safety, reliability, and customer expectations
and participate in design reviews and project reviews. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or
closely related field (willing to accept foreign education
equivalent) plus five years of engineering experience with a
minimum of two (2) years with in vitro diagnostics (IVD) devices or
life sciences. Experience must include: Simulation and timing
analysis using customized tools as well as Oscilloscope and logic
analyzers to perform technical investigations in order to
troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve problems at the component,
module and system level; Risk Analysis, DFMEA, PFMEA, Engineering
Risk Analysis, Design Optimization, Post-integration component to
system level tests and analysis, and Design Verification &
Validation; Analog, digital and microcontroller engineering design
and development involving extensive use of Cadence OrCAD, Allegro
PCB, Altium Designer (Schematic Layout, Component Library,
Footprints, Bill of Materials and Component Sourcing); Firmware
programming for embedded systems is required for the following
tools: Embedded C/C++, ARM cortex family, SoC programming, CAN,
I2C, SPI, UART, USB, Ethernet, PCIe, Middleware and Application
Software BIOS, UEFI, FSP, AGESA Design, Low-Level Drivers (HAL),
APB and AMBA bus architecture, RTOS (FreeRtos, VxWorks), Memory
Interfacing (EEPROM, SRAM, DMA); and Working on grounding and noise
